Privacy-First Telegram CRM
Telegram is known for privacy and security. Any CRM built for Telegram should respect these values.
Entergram's smart chat window connects directly to Telegram without storing your messages. Your conversations stay private while you get the organizational power of a CRM.
This is not a technical limitation—it is a deliberate design decision. We believe that adding CRM capabilities to Telegram should not require you to hand over your message history to a third-party database. The moment your messages leave Telegram's encrypted infrastructure, you lose the privacy guarantees that made Telegram attractive in the first place.
How Our Chat Window Works
Real-Time Message Fetching
When you open a chat in Entergram, we fetch messages directly from Telegram's servers using their open-source API. Messages are displayed in real-time—we don't store them in our database.
This means every time you open a conversation, you see the latest state of that chat as it exists on Telegram. If a message was edited or deleted on Telegram, those changes are reflected in Entergram's chat window as well. There is no stale copy sitting on our servers that could become out of sync with the actual conversation.
MTProto Encryption
We use Telegram's native MTProto encryption for all connections. Your session is secured with AES-256-GCM encryption using a passphrase-derived key.
MTProto is Telegram's custom encryption protocol, designed specifically for speed and security in messaging applications. By using it directly rather than implementing our own transport layer, we ensure that your connection to Telegram maintains the same security properties you expect from the native Telegram app. The AES-256-GCM layer adds an additional level of protection for the session data stored on our side.
What We Store
We only store:
- Group chat names: To display in your chats table
- Member usernames: For contact management features
- Your CRM data: Custom labels, tags, and fields you create
- Analytics metadata: Message counts, timestamps, and activity patterns for chat analytics
- Support ticket data: Ticket status, assignments, and SLA tracking for support ticketing
What We Don't Store
- Message content
- Media files
- Voice messages
- Any private conversation data
This distinction is critical. The data we store is either publicly available on Telegram (group names, usernames) or data that you explicitly create within Entergram (labels, tags, ticket notes). We never capture or retain the content of your actual conversations.
Why This Approach
Respects Telegram's Vision
Telegram is built on privacy. Storing messages would contradict the platform's core values and your expectations. When users choose Telegram for business communication, they are making a deliberate choice about privacy. A CRM that undermines that choice by copying messages to its own servers is working against its users' interests.
Reduces Security Risk
By not storing messages, we minimize the attack surface. There's no message database to breach. In the event of a security incident on our infrastructure, attackers would find CRM metadata—labels, tags, and organizational data—but no conversation content. This significantly reduces the potential damage from any breach and makes Entergram a lower-value target for attackers in the first place.
Focuses on Productivity
Our value is in organization, not archiving. We help you manage conversations, not store them. The CRM layer—labels, pipelines, analytics, broadcasting—sits alongside your Telegram conversations without interfering with them. You get structure and visibility without sacrificing the lightweight, fast communication experience that Telegram provides.
Cost Efficiency
Not storing messages lets us focus resources on features that matter—analytics, broadcast messaging, and multi-account management. Message storage at scale requires significant infrastructure investment. By avoiding it, we keep costs down and pass those savings on through simpler, more affordable pricing.
Security Features
Vault Protection
Your Telegram connections are protected by a vault. Enter your password to unlock and access your accounts. The vault uses passphrase-derived encryption, meaning your Telegram session data is encrypted at rest and can only be decrypted with your password. Even Entergram's own team cannot access your connected accounts without your vault password.
GDPR Compliance
- Download all your data anytime
- Delete all your data with one click
- Full transparency on data handling
GDPR compliance is not just a checkbox for us. We designed the data model from the start to support full data portability and the right to be forgotten. When you delete your data, it is permanently removed from our systems—not archived or soft-deleted.
Compliance Features for Teams
For businesses that need additional oversight, Entergram offers compliance features including employee monitoring, the ability to disable message deletion for team members, and login location tracking. These features help managers maintain accountability without compromising the privacy of external contacts. The monitoring applies to your team's CRM activity, not to the content of their Telegram messages.
Recovery Options
If you forget your password or recovery phrase, simply reconnect your Telegram accounts. Your CRM data (labels, tags) is preserved.

Chat Window Features
Despite not storing messages, our chat window is fully functional:
- Send and receive messages in real-time
- Reply to specific messages
- Edit and delete your messages
- Add emoji reactions
- Use macro templates for quick responses
- Attach files and media
The chat window is designed to feel familiar to anyone who uses Telegram regularly. The key difference is the CRM sidebar that appears alongside your conversations, showing labels, contact details, and quick actions. This sidebar is where Entergram adds value—it gives you business context without changing how you communicate.
Historical Message Limits
Because we fetch messages in real-time rather than storing them, there's a limit to how far back you can scroll. This is by design—we focus on current and recent interactions.
For most business use cases, this is not a limitation. Support conversations, sales follow-ups, and community interactions are focused on recent messages. If you need to reference older conversations, the native Telegram app remains available with its full message history. Entergram complements Telegram rather than replacing it.
How Privacy-First Design Benefits Different Teams
Sensitive Business Communications
Market makers and P2P traders handle sensitive deal discussions. Our privacy-first approach ensures confidentiality. When negotiations involve large sums or sensitive pricing information, the assurance that conversation content is not stored on any third-party server is a meaningful risk reduction.
Regulated Industries
Fintech teams operating under compliance requirements benefit from minimal data storage. In many jurisdictions, storing customer communications creates regulatory obligations around data retention, access controls, and breach notification. By not storing messages, Entergram simplifies the compliance landscape for fintech teams.
Privacy-Conscious Teams
Web3 teams who value decentralization and privacy trust Entergram's approach. The Web3 ethos prioritizes user sovereignty over data. A CRM that extracts and stores your conversation data runs counter to this philosophy. Entergram aligns with Web3 values by keeping your data under your control.
Marketing Agencies
Web3 marketing agencies managing client communications can assure their clients that conversation data is not being stored on agency-controlled servers. This builds trust and simplifies the data handling agreements that agencies need with their clients.
E-Commerce
E-commerce teams handling customer payment details or order information in Telegram benefit from knowing that this sensitive data is not being duplicated to another platform.
Workspaces and Team Privacy
Entergram's workspace features extend the privacy-first approach to team collaboration. Chat exclusion allows you to designate certain conversations as private, preventing other team members from accessing them through the shared workspace. This is useful when a single Telegram account is shared among team members but some conversations—such as executive discussions or HR matters—need to remain confidential.
